The 2011 Fiesta Tempranillo is now released. "Fiesta" means "party!" in Spanish and that's exactly what our Fiesta Tempranillo is; a party in a bottle.

Our quick maturing, fruit forward Tempranillo is sure to inspire your own crack a bottle and celebrate the release of our 2011 Fiesta Tempranillo!

"Our “Fiesta” Tempranillo is a fruit forward, early drinking wine made from 100% estate grapes. Careful farming of specific cultivars in West Slope and similar soils enables us to craft this less tannic, high expression wine. Ageing of these fruity lots for 17 months in barrel produced this delicious upon release “fun” Tempranillo. While ideal with tapas such as Manchego and chorizo, it will also pair well with grilled meats. Or just break out a bottle for an instant celebration."

We hosted a Release Party on Friday, March 14th …

Vineyard pruning nearly finished at Abacela.

Pruning of our estate vineyards started just after the new year. Our crew has worked over the past nine weeks to get all 76 acres pruned before the spring arrives. We've had heavy rains, daytime temperatures near freezing and wonderful sunny days. Hurrah to the vineyard crew!

"Thursdays After Hours" begin March 13th.
