This just in - Spring release wine reviews

We are excited about these new reviews!

Just released on April 1st, our new Spring release wines have already received some great kudos that you should know about...

The 2011 Albariño garnered a Best of Class & Gold Medal from the 2012 Pacific Rim Wine Competition. It's a great honor from a prestigious wine competition that has judged wines since 1985.

The 2011 Grenache Rosé was rated Outstanding! & Best Buy from Wine Press Northwest, again:
"Almost every winemaker will tell you their current vintage of a particular wine is the best they've produced. In this case, the folks at Abacela could be right, which is saying quite a bit considering this wine perennially earns a spot in our year-end Platinum Judging. The inviting brilliant pink color is followed by a nose of strawberry, apricot and marshmallow, followed by bright cherries, more strawberries and a big bite of fresh peach. Its texture is akin to peach skin, and the cranberry acidity, combined with its blank residual sugar, gives it almost endless food-pairing possibilities."
Also notable, our 2011 Grenache Rosé earned a Gold Medal and the Jerry Mead Award at the 2012 NorthWest Wine Summit, a Silver Medal in the 2012 Pacific Rim Wine Competition and another Silver Medal at the 2012 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

The San Francisco Chronicle recently recommended our 2011 Grenache Rosé: "Hilda and Earl Jones have been proving for 20 years that southern Oregon's Umpqua Valley is just the right spot to grow Spanish varieties, and their pink is true to that country's robust rosados. Full of peach juice and lime rickey flavors, its gutsiness is balanced by an inviting mineral edge." Read more.

Go Pink!
