Oregon Wine Geeks - New Reviews!

Score: 93
A dark ruby red wine from a Umpqua Valley producer that consistently make good wine.  The nose is floral, black cherry, dark berry fruits, leather and vanilla.  This is a rich full bodied wine on the palate, generous dark fruit with a more tart acidic finish with a layered tannic structure beneath.  A very tasty Cabernet Franc with food or on its own. This has aging potential in the 5 to 8 year range but is good now.

Score: 92
I’ve been waiting to try this since my last visit to the vineyard, luckily 38 Central had it there this week. A light colored wine with a nose of pie cherry, vanilla, charcoal and slight white pepper.  The palate shows a nice fruit and complex layer of acid at the middle palate.  The finish is dry and tannic, supple overtones and very long finish.
